Christmas Surprise for Liberty City Animal Hero Kids

Miami-On Thursday, December 17th at 10:30 AM at Allapattah Middle School six Animal Heroes will receive a few unexpected, early Christmas presents.

Their first gift will be a surprise visit from Winnie the three-legged dog who is now - thanks to their brave and compassionate actions- thriving in her happy, forever home. Winnie will be hiding in an internal office in the media center during Susan Hargreaves announcement and short presentation that December 17th marks the launch of Humane Educators Reaching Out's Animal Hero Program going national.

Their second Christmas surprise will be gift wrapped boxes containing the book 50 Awesome Ways Kids Can Help Animals, HERO baseball caps, gift certificates and from a generous donor, Ipods.

On the Anniversary of their rescue of Winnie, an 8 month old puppy who was beaten and stuffed down a sewer grate, the animal heroes' sixty classmates will learn how everyone can be heroes to animals. "Humane Educators Reaching Out hero program is thrilled to expand its reach to a national level, we are now on the look out for animal heroes around the US to beome award recipients," states, Susan Hargreaves, HERO Founder, "In this season of giving why not celebrate the compassionate actions of children towards animals who really need their help ?"

New Partnership for Animals Starts with Success

I am pleased to announce that the Sherry L. Schlueter Foundation's Fund for Abused Animals program and the humane education programs of HumaneEducatorsReachingOut.com have begun a joint venture to benefit all animals. Quality humane education programs that conclude with completely vegetarian eco-fare are now available in the Tri-County area.

Please, go to our education department for a list of presentation choices for all ages.

In one week, 600 elementary school children in Palm Beach County learned how they can help animals in the You Can Be an Animal Hero presentation, and 200 middle school students in Broward County enjoyed veggie dogs at Pioneer Middle Schools' Environmental Showcase. If you wish to donate to this effective team, please, go to here.

Humane education is the most valuable tool for animal abuse prevention.

Thank you.
